Abstract

AbstractHigh level of competition and dynamism of a current labour market, international cooperation lead to a dramatic transformation of learning and research processes in the system of higher education. In the nearest future, and for many regions in the present, systematic shifts are beginning to shape in the work of higher school. The globalization processes, internationalization, digital development, and innovations influence the change of the university organization structure, where the centres of excellence, knowledge transfer and technologies, academic mobility are established. University becomes a business and government partner, influences the regional growth. The practice-oriented training, an educational model based on the individual educational trajectories, where the educational environment is divided into four modules: Core, Major, Minor and Electives, is implemented on the level of learning process. This strategy is aimed at training of globally competitive and critically thinking leaders. The purpose of the article is to analyse the critical thinking theory within the framework of an activity approach, study of the writing and thinking problems, suggestion of an approach to the making of an educational program, based on the critical thinking development.KeywordsCritical thinkingIndividual educational trajectoryActivity approachLeadershipCommunication skills
