Abstract

Statement of the problem. The paper examines the problem of changing the global transport infrastructure. The goal is to identify critical tendencies in the transport industry and possible causes of their occurrence. Methodology. Tendencies in the transport sector in Russia, Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and the Netherlands were analyzed. The most significant factors affecting the occurrence of road accidents are identified, as well as ways to reduce the occurrence of accidents. The concept of transport conflict and possible ways to avoid it are considered. Research result. The existing classification of factors influencing the development of the region’s transport system was supplemented. The causes of global tendencies that significantly change the transport industry are identified, and critical tendencies that are formed in the transport sector in various countries of the World are also identified. The recommendations of the European Commission on ensuring the safety of road freight transport as the most promising are considered. Conclusion. In conclusion, the features of the transport industry development are identified. Key tendencies were presented, as well as the degree of achievement of the goal set in the study.
