Abstract
This study focuses on discovering the Critical Success Factors (CSFs) of the implementation of Information Technology (IT) or Information System (IS) related projects as the enablers to many organizational transformations. The core method for developing the CSFs is through Systematic Literature Review (SLR) for compiling past research related to CSFs to come up with a set of CSFs (as independent variables) to achieve IT/IS project success. As a result, five independent variables, namely, Leadership/Project Management; Effective Organization Communication; Project Team Capability/Competence; Methodology, Tools, and Techniques; and Project Documentation emerged and were processed further through the Likert survey method from 132 respondents of IT system implementers in Southeast Asian settings, particularly Indonesia, to study the possible relationship the variables might have toward IT Project Success as the dependent variable. The study's findings revealed that Effective Organization Communication, Project Team Capability/Competence, and Methodology, Tools, and Techniques have a significant relationship with IT Project Success, whereas Leadership/Project Management and Project Documentation are insignificant.
