Abstract

In this regard, Ayurveda separately addresses the health of children and infants under the heading Kaumarabhrthya. Ayurveda is a system of medicine that deals with managing health for a person of any age group. The various health aspects of childhood and adolescence are related to this branch of the study. Ayurveda recommended a variety of strategies for preserving children’s health, including immunization, purification therapies, and the use of Ayurvedic formulations. Ayurvedic pediatrics practice often uses the poly-herbal remedy Balchaturbhadra Churna to treat respiratory disorders, vomiting, diarrhea, and fever. It is a combination of four herbs that is Musta, Pippali, Karkatshringi, and Ativisha. Since the beginning of time, this combination has been used, first described in the Chakradatt Samhita. On the use of the drug species aconitum, many questions have been raised. However, all of the experimental trials showed that Balchaturbhadra Churna is safe for therapeutic usage even at doses far greater than those tested. It was noted that this formulation is still one of the most popular and frequently used medications for the treatment of pediatric disease. In addition, this formulation appears to stand out as a possible treatment option for SARS-CoV-2 infection. This emphasizes the necessity of reviewing and reevaluating the formulations in the context of the currently prevailing health system.
