Abstract

A description is given of a possible model of burnout in a high-speed gas-liquid flow and of a method of calculation based on this model. An experimental apparatus is briefly described, together with the results of a study of the critical heat fluxes for a steam-water mixture in the dryness range above 0.5 at pressures to 106 N/m2. The experimental data are compared with the theoretical values.
