Critical Distance as a Function of Room Constant and Directivity Factor

Abstract

Figure 23 presents solutions for equation 17.5 $$ {D_c} = .14\sqrt {{QR}} $$ The ordinate at the right of the graph is in directivity factor, which is normally designated by Q. Directivity index (DI) is given at the left ordinate. DI is defined as follows: $$ DI = 10 \log Q $$ and it is given in decibels.
