Abstract

The critical behavior of the low-field Hall effect in a three-dimensional metal-nonmetal composite near the percolation threshold has been determined for the first time from calculations on a reliable random-resistor-network model. The Hall coefficient ${R}_{e}$ is found to diverge as ${|p\ensuremath{-}{p}_{c}|}^{\ensuremath{-}g}$, where $g=0.29\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.05$.
