Abstract
We construct the phase diagram for two electrons attracted to a point-like defect but repelling one another by point-like two-body forces. Above a given curve in the U- ν plane ( U is the strength of repulsion, v is the strength of attraction) only one electron can be bound to the center, which is therefore paramagnetic. Below this curve, both particles are bound in a nonmagnetic S = O state by the defect. We obtain this “critical curve” exactly.
