Criteria Led Discharge for Cardiac Patients Having Elective Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (ePCI), Permanent Pacemaker (ePPM) and Direct Current Cardioversion (eDCCV) in CCU at Canberra Health Services (CHS)

Abstract

Criteria Led Discharge (CLD) has been shown to be safe and effective with reduced length of stay and good patient outcomes [1]. Our aim was to improve patient flow through CCU by facilitating early discharge following uncomplicated, elective procedures to accommodate timely admission of all patients requiring a CCU bed.
