Abstract

This paper deals with the problem of high-frequency oscillations in HV impulse waves elimination. Using a mixed-type equivalent model, some analytical conditions for the elimination of such oscillations are established, and the extent to which the said conditions are not in the practice of the HV impulse tests are also evaluated. The results of the tests carried out on a low-voltage generator model simulating an actual 120OkV, 12-stage generator have confirmed the validity of the conditions suggested for the elimination of high-frequency oscillations.
