Abstract
Aortic valvular disease in many patients causes progressive myocardial impairment leading to premature death. The present state of progress in surgical correction would indicate operative therapy at the onset of symptoms. The results so far in the use of prosthetic valves demonstrated that this is an effective method of treatment in the surgical correction of these valvular deformities.
