Abstract
Abstract It is recommended that all samples of mycotoxins to be used as analytical standards be in compliance with certain criteria of purity and that methods be made available for analysts to check the concentration and purity of their standards. General criteria for meeting these goals are described. A procedure for the determination of the concentration and purity of aflatoxin M1 standards, which was used in an IUPAC collaborative study to determine the stability of M1, is recommended for acceptance by the AOAC.
