Abstract
The first Christian organized communities which we know in Gallaecia appear under the guidance of a bishop, but until the end of the IVth century we are not provided with sufficient information to analyze the evolution of the Episcopal network that, in two following centuries, will show important transformations, fundamentally as for the distribution of the Episcopal head offices, the powers of its members and its relationship to the temporal power.
