Aasheeta Parikh Bawa and Yonghua Zhang Many patients present to a neurologist due to rapidly progressive dementia (RPD). One rare etiology is Creutzfeldt–Jakob disease (CJD), a neurological disorder that occurs in one to two people per one million population.
