Abstract
This research aims to reveal the opinions of the students of tourism education about the role of creative drama method in learning, course process and mood. The creative drama sessions prepared for the subjects in the hotel management course were conducted for a total of 11 weeks and 33 hours during a course period. The data of the research are participant diaries written by the students during the course period; At the end of the semester, students' letters and semi-structured questions were obtained through face-to-face interviews. Content analysis was applied to the collected data by using a qualitative research approach. As a result of the analysis, students’ opinions; learning, lesson process, and mood. As a result of the research, the creative drama method provides a suitable ground for vocational education and the method can be used in other courses. In the effective field, the students stated that their creative method was willing and willing to participate in the lessons and they felt happy, comfortable and confident during the course.

Bir grubu oluşturan üyelerin yaşam deneyimlerinden yola çıkarak, bir amacın, düşüncenin, doğaçlama, rol oynama gibi tekniklerden yararlanarak canlandırılmasıdır (Adıgüzel, 2016, s. 41). Bireylerin gerçek dünya ile kurgusal dünya arasında gidip gelmelerini olanaklı kılan yaratıcı drama, sınıf içi ya da düşünülen pek çok sınıf dışı öğrenme ortamlarında etkili olmaktadır İnsan ilişkilerinin odak noktası olduğu turizm sektörü ile ilişkili eğitiminde yaratıcı drama gibi yaşantılara dayalı bir öğretim yönteminin uygulanmasıyla otel yönetimi gibi temel mesleki bilgilerin sunulduğu bir derste yer alan konuları öğrenmeleri meslek hayatlarına hazırlanmaları için önemlidir. Turizm eğitimi ile ilişkili alanyazın incelendiğinde turizm ve yaratıcı drama ile ilişkili olarak yapılan çalışmaların (Armstrong, 2003; Bil, 2012; Urdal ve Sü Eröz, 2016; Sezerel, 2017; Benjamin ve Kline, 2019; Sezerel ve Özoğul, 2019) sınırlı sayıda olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Rol oynama tekniğinin sürdürülebilir turizm yönetimi konusunda mesleki becerilerin öğretilmesinde etkili olup olmadığını belirlenmesine (Armstrong, 2003) ve okullarda verilen turizm eğitiminden ziyade sektör çalışanlarına yönelik olarak (Bil, 2012; Urdal ve Sü Eröz, 2016) gerçekleştirilmiştir. Turizm alanında mesleki eğitim ve öğretimde alternatif bir yaklaşım olarak yaratıcı drama ile ilgili araştırmalara ihtiyaç duyulduğu gözlenmektedir
