Abstract

Abstract Pores of ca. 11 nm size were created in ZSM-5 zeolite crystals by a novel double-acyloxy amphiphilic organosilane surfactant as a mesopore-directing template. The zeolite crystals had a platelet-like morphology and sponge-like surface. The morphology of the obtained zeolites was compared with conventional zeolite synthesized by the same procedure except for the absence of the double-acyloxy organosilane surfactant.
