AbstractDuring the global financial crisis, prospects for biofuels in Africa looked gloomy. Moving beyond the crisis and the food vs fuel debate, biofuel producers, academics, and policy‐makers alike are looking for ways to create value from sustainably produced biofuels in Africa.
