Abstract

ABSTRACT Embedded librarianship can give librarians direct impact on student success in a clinical setting, but there is not a prescribed method for training new librarians to work in this environment. The first of its kind Clinical Medical Librarian program at the University of Missouri Kansas City has embedded librarians into clinical instruction for decades, and has created a set of materials, protocol and templates that can be used to integrate a new hire into the position.
