Abstract

This presentation will deal with the functional characteristics and educational needs of preschool hearing-impaired children with developmental disabilities. Reasons will be given why and how teacher-made materials can be effective in serving them. The uses and process of creating materials such as books, films, charts, slide sequences, and videotapes will be examined. Samples of a variety of such teacher-made materials will be used to demonstrate these points.
