The entry of telemedicine into the home makes it imperative that home health care professionals prepare to meet the challenge of new ethical issues. Telehome health care accelerates the need for nurse training on a code of ethics, because this new method of health care delivery transforms the patient from the usual object to be acted on into the primary actor in his or her own self-care.
