Abstract

Based on the associations of nitrogen-fixing bacteria of the Rhizobium sp. and Azotobacter sp. genera, biofertilizers have been developed for increasing the wheat yield in Northern Kazakhstan. Among nodule bacteria and azotobacters, nine promising strains of microorganisms that can stimulate plant growth, fix nitrogen, and exhibit antagonism to phytopathogenic micromycetes have been isolated.
