Abstract
It is one of the research areas of linguistic philosophers, sociologists and linguists. Platon was asserting that, there is correlation between concept and object in Cratylos but, Aristo was offering that the correlation is based on conciliation and incidental relationship. Saussure, the founder of General Linguistic, finished the philosophical debate by defining linguistic sign in Course in General Linguistics. After Saussure who brought basic terms such as; linguistic skills, linguistics, words, system, linguistic signs to structural linguistics and research methods such as; synchrony and diachronic, some linguists has worked on his ideas without connotation abstraction. With this approach, the linguistic sign binary; signifier / signified has transformed into semantic triangle.
