Abstract
According to the measurements, a range of individual anatomical variability of the brainstem forms is found. Thus, the first marginal form of the brainstem has the shortened and extended structure of all its parts with marked predominance oftransverse parameters inherent in people with brachicephalic type of the head. For the second marginal forms characteristic elongated and narrowed structure of the brainstem with a strong predominance of longitudinal parameters of its sites, determined only in people with dolichocephalic type of the head. Between them the brainstem with presence of different ratios of length and width of this part of the brain is present, which is typical in people with mezocephalic type of the head. Along with these features, studied craniotopography of neurovascular structures, which are located around the brainstem or depart from it. Moreover, refined morphometric characteristics of each element on the surface of the brainstem, their position relative to each other and to the tight medial edge of the tentorium cerebellum, which forming tentorial hole, and from below – to the bone edges of the foramen magmun.
