Abstract
New codes will be implemented for services performed on and after January 1, 2024, for imaging performed to evaluate congenital cardiac abnormalities. Changes to codes for cardiac imaging in Current Procedural Terminology (CPT®) in 2024 include the following: Diagnostic intraoperative epicardial cardiac ultrasound (eg, echocardiography) for congenital heart disease Venography for congenital heart defect(s) This article provides an overview of the new codes and reporting instructions.
