Accepted abstracts will be displayed at the poster session Monday, April 28 at the Arizona Grand in Phoenix, Arizona. Presenting authors of accepted posters must be paid registrants for a minimum of the day of the poster session. The registration must be received by March 27, 2014, or the abstract will be administratively removed. The registration for the presenting author cannot be cancelled.Abstracts may be submitted in one of five different categories:Abstracts may also be considered in one of five different awardcategories:Please note that for the Research Trainee category, Works in Progress are allowed, provided there is an interim data analysis and timetable for completion included in the abstract. Student chapters provide a way for future psychiatric pharmacists to extend their learning in the field beyond the classroom. Campus-based chapters offer students the opportunity to develop professional and technical perspectives associated with the psychiatric and neurologic pharmacy profession while pursuing their academic programs. Student participation in CPNP events, at the national or local level, provides professional development and valuable networking opportunities for future employment. The chart below reflects the opportunities student chapters are providing CPNP collegiate members while showcasing the benefits the chapters bring to their campuses and their communities.Calleen Sullivan, Pharm.D., BCPS, married Chad Lavinghousez in Charleston, SC on November 2nd.Charles Caley, Pharm.D., BCPP, has been appointed to the Children's Mental Health Task Force as a pharmacologist appointment. The task force was created as a result of last December's Sandy Hook tragedy.Julie Dopheide, Pharm.D., BCPP, and CPNP President has been selected by the ASHP Foundation to participate on the Consensus Recommendations Panel for the ASHP Ambulatory Care Conference and Summit. She will be specifically working within a group responsible for recommending practice guidelines for the Patient Care Delivery and Integration domain.The Board of Pharmacy Specialties has announced appointments to the Specialty Councils. Congratulations to CPNP Member Charlie Caley, Pharm.D., BCPP, who has been named to a non-specialist position on the Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Council. Serving the Psychiatric Pharmacy Council is Stan Weber, Pharm.D., BCPP (reappointment) and Sheila Botts, Pharm.D., BCPP, FCCP. Congratulations to all and a thank you for serving our profession.
