Abstract

The article presents the fundamentals of the reactance compensation of the unbalanced loads in three-phase four-wire systems supplied from a sinusoidal and asymmetrical voltage source. The whole balancing reactive compensation is based on the Currents' Physical Components (CPC) Theory. The reactance compensation in four-wire circuits requires the device to be included in a star structure to be able to compensate the reactive current and the current at the neutral conductor causing by the zero sequence asymmetry, and the device in a delta structure to allow compensation of the reactive current and current causing the asymmetry of the negative sequence.
