Abstract

Branching ratios and the partial-decay-rate differences between particle and antiparticle decaying into their corresponding CP-conjugate states for neutral B 0 d B 0 s mesons are estimated. If the final state is not a CP eigenstate, CP ilation arises from the interference between the tree amplitude and the penguin diagram. If the final states are CP even, the CP-violating partial rate asymmetry is dominated by CP nonconservation in the B 0– B 0 mass matrix. Some of the partial-rate differences are substantial and interesting for experimental observation.
