Abstract

AbstractIn The Bronte Society Transactions of 1946 Mrs. Weir wrote an account of some “old documents” relating to the early days of Cowan Bridge School. Her account and the use that some biographers have made of the documents (which are now in the Haworth Museum) have puzzled me. and now that I have had an opportunity of looking at them I should like to suggest that they should be reconsidered.
