Abstract

The Sri Lanka Journal of Psychiatry (SLJP) is a peer-reviewed, open access journal published bi annually by the Sri Lanka College of Psychiatrists.The Journal publishes original papers, brief reports including case reports and commentaries relevant to psychiatry and allied sciences. The Sri Lanka Journal of Psychiatry is committed to maintaining and conforming to the editorial and ethical standards recommended by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors.Cover“Perseverance”.   • Since 2018, final year assessments in psychiatry in all state medical schools in Sri Lanka consist of a multiplechoice question paper, a structured essay question paper, a “traditional” long case, a viva voce examination, and a modified objective clinical assessment (MOCE)

  • In most of these medical faculties, the viva voce and the MOCE are held every two months soon-after a group of 32-36 students complete their eight- week psychiatry clerkship. Introduction
