Abstract

COVID-19 is a disease recently transmitted by the corona virus. The virus, which began to spread from Wuhan, China in December 2019,has not been previously reported. Although Sri Lanka has been working for more than six months to control the spread of COVID-19, the epidemic is now at high risk.COVID-19 analysis confirms that the impact on the GDP and Employment is significantly lower than the South Asian average. Also, the decline in export earnings has had a major impact on Sri Lanka's foreign sector performance. The long term economic development process of the country will be severely affected. Therefore, necessary steps should be taken for the development of the country while controlling this epidemic.
