COVID-19 death disparities among international migrant workers of South Asian origin: A comparative study between the Gulf Cooperation Countries and Singapore

Summary

Introduction

The Gulf States and Singapore provide an interesting grounds for comparison, because both have a large number of IMWs. The scarcity of data impedes the formulation of international policy responses to address the health needs of IMWs.[4] A few studies in the USA and UK have highlighted the disproportionate number of COVID-19 deaths among migrant populations and ethnicities.[5]
