Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the responses of the MICE organizations responding to COVID-19, the quarantine measures of the exhibition and convention centers, and the strategies for the resilience of the MICE industry in the post-corona era. The successful response system to COVID-19 has been collectively referred to as K-Quarantine, and based on this experience, it is being processed as an international standardization. In order to control the global crisis of COVID-19, domestic and international MICE-related organizations are presenting response guidelines. On the other hand, the exhibition and convention centers have established guidelines related to their centers. In the case of KINTEX, a three-step management guideline has been instituted, and the Jeju ICC responds by enacting a guideline for each event type. Now that the COVID vaccination has begun, countries need to prepare for the post-COVID era. A paradigm shift and standardization of the quarantine model to the MICE industry are necessary. Likewise, cooperation and a post-COVID era response strategy are needed to form resilience for the MICE industry.
