Abstract

Objectives The purposes of this study was to verify the effects of Self-Determination Motivation, Metacognition, Learning Flow, Clinical Practice Competency and to verify varables related to Clinical Practice Competency of nursing students in COVID-19 pandermic situation.
 Methods The participants were 150 students attending 3rd, 4th year nursing students of university located in J province. The collected datawere analyzed using SPSS 24.0 version. The confidance value of the scale used was Cronbach’s for each scale. Variables were analyzed by using the descriptive statistics, t-test, anova, Pearson’s correlation, multiple regression.
 Results The correlation coefficient analysis showed that clinical practice competency of nursing students had a statistically significant correlation with Self-Determination Motivation, Metacognition, Learning Flow. The Clinical Practice Competency of subjects had a significantly differnces and Grade, Metacognition were found to be the factors influencing clinical practice competency. The model's explanatory power was 31.2%.
 Conclusions In order to increase clinical practice competency of nursing students in COVID-19 pandermic situation it is necessary to build/develop effective intervention education programs to improve metacognition.
