Abstract

The data relay satellite is located in the geostationary orbit, and uses the favorable geometric position to perform the data relay of LEO satellite TT&C beyond the line of sight of the ground station. Aiming at the requirement of wide beam coverage of relay terminal TT&C antenna, a conical beam antenna is designed in this paper. Using STK simulation software combined with TLE orbital elements information of relay satellites and LEO satellites, the link establishing time and coverage between relay satellites and LEO satellites are analyzed, and the coverage analysis under single/multiple relay satellites is given. The parameters of link simulation include: the number of links that can be established, the shortest communication time, the longest communication time, and the total link establishment time, etc. The simulation results have important guiding significance for the application of LEO relay terminals.
