Abstract

AbstractThe review by Kaczmarek et al. describes new functions of the Arf1 small G protein and its activator GBF1, beyond their well‐known role in formation of retrograde transport vesicles between the endoplasmic reticulum and the Golgi apparatus. These new functions include roles in lipid droplet metabolism, clathrin‐independent endocytosis, mitochondrial dynamics and transport of organelles along microtubules.
