Abstract

The cover picture shows a tetranuclear manganese complex, {Mn4[(Py)C(Ph)NO]4 (CH3CH2OH)3(CH3CH2O)Cl3}·2H2O. X‐ray analysis revealed that the complex contains a Mn4 core with three MnII atoms displaying distorted octahedral arrangements and one MnII ion exhibiting a trigonal bipyramidal arrangement. The four MnII ions are linked together by four (Py)C(Ph)NO– ligands to form a distorted tetra‐face‐capped tetrahedron [Mn4(NO)4]4+ core comprising alternate single (O) and double (N–O) atom edges. Low‐temperature magnetic susceptibility measurement for the solid sample of the complex revealed antiferromagnetic MnII···MnII interactions. More details are discussed in the article by Yahong Li et al. on pp. 1304.
