AbstractThe illustration on the front cover refers to an Editor's Choice article by Michael Dzierzawa et al. (pp. 941–947 in this issue) which was presented at the International Conference on Theoretical Physics: Coherence and Correlations in Nanosystems.The paper investigates the frequency‐dependent response of a one‐dimensional fermion system with nearest‐neighbor interaction. Luttinger liquid behavior in the long‐wavelength limit has been shown employing a combination of current density functional theory with Bethe ansatz results for the ground state energy. The picture shows a contour plot of the imaginary part of the dynamical susceptibility (© 2009 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)
