Abstract

The cover picture shows a convenient microwave-assisted CH activation for the preparation of several phenoxythieno[3,2-b]pyridines. The main challenge of CH-activation is the control of regioselectivity with heterocyclic substrates containing multiple C−H bonds that may have similar reactivities. For these reasons and on the basis of our previous work, we present in this article a simple approach to access, in a very efficient and regioselective manner, various substituted thienopyridines using sustainable microwave-assisted synthesis and one-pot approach. For all further results see the Full Paper of Dr. J. F. Campos and Prof. S. Berteina-Raboin et al. (DOI: 10.1002/slct.202101643). The cover was designed by Dr. J. F. Campos (Orleans University).
