Abstract

Quantum-dot barcodes …︁ are prepared by a new concentration-controlled flow-focusing process. As described by W. C. W. Chan and co-workers in the Communication on page 5577 ff., different intensities of quantum dots with different emission wavelengths are used to encode the barcodes. The one-step preparation process produces robust barcodes that can be used in multiplexed detection of protein and genetic markers.
