Abstract

The preparation of highly ordered, porous honeycomb films by the breath figure technique using dendron-functionalized star polymers as precursors is described by L. A. Connal et al. on page 3706. By changing the nature of the dendritic end groups, the porous morphologies can be controlled. Fluorinated star polymers create a new type of structure with extremely thin walls. This technique represents a new set of tools to create desired porous structures.
