Abstract

An activatable polymeric reporter (P-Dex) was designed to turn on near-infrared fluorescence and photoacoustic signals in response to a biomarker (uPA) for in vivo imaging of invasive breast cancers, as reported by Q. Miao, K. Pu et al. in their Research Article on page 7018. P-Dex not only has a high sensitivity and specificity towards the cancer biomarker but also undergoes renal clearance in living mice.
