Abstract

This figure shows that the dimeric oxovanadium(V) complex catalyzes an 100% atom economic route to produce cyclic carbonates from the coupling reaction between epoxide derivatives and CO2 under ambient pressure. The cyclic carbonate products could potentially serve as green solvents, the electrolytes for lithium‐ion batteries, and synthetic building blocks for polymer materials. More details about this figure will be discussed by Dr. Ming‐Li Tsai and his co‐workers on page 476–485 in this issue.image
