Abstract

In this review, the use of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) in food packaging technologies was discussed from the perspective of regulation, methods, properties, migration, and challenges. Although AgNPs can improve physical, mechanical, and antibacterial properties of food packaging, a primary concern is focused on their possible toxicity in human health.
