Abstract
AbstractFusions between the Z‐domain and photoactive yellow protein are depicted in yellow. Two of the fusions are not hit by the ray of blue light and remain inactive. The third, in response to blue light irradiation, undergoes conformational changes, allowing for target (Fc) binding (the purple protein).
