Abstract

Cover Caption: Peng et al. (Page 5‐22) reported that the development of apical hook in Arabidopsis can initiate with a de novo growth asymmetry at the straightly elongating hypocotyl apex. Combinatorial usage of highthroughput infrared imaging platform, confocal microscopy, genetic and pharmacological analyses revealed that this de novo growth asymmetry precedes the asymmetry auxin response during apical hook development. The cover image shows the asymmetry auxin response indicated by DR5p::VENUS‐NLS reporter (green) in a closed apical hook with cell outline stained with PI (red).
