Abstract

Cover illustration. Basket stars (Ophiuroidea, Echinodermata) have a complicated pattern of branched arms that can regenerate immediately after mutilation. In this issue of the Journal of Morphology, Okanishi and coauthors (pp. 205 ‐ 206) report about their study of the developmental and morphological features of arm regeneration in Astrocladus dofleini (Gorgonocephalidae, Euryalida, Euryophiurida) using anatomical and histological methods. The cover image shows a live Astrocladus dofleini in aboral view.
