Abstract
Cover Illustration: Automated detection and reconstruction of astrocytic domain (cyan) in 3D volume of CA1 that was injected with a viral vector to induce the expression of tdTomato (purple) in astrocytes, and then made transparent by CLARITY. We imaged thousands of hippocampal astrocytes, to provide a quantitative characterization of excitatory neurons content, and proximity to inhibitory neurons.
