Abstract

Front cover image: Pyrolytic non-noble Fe-Nx-C ORR catalysts have shown great application potential in recent years. Understanding the ORR active sites and the nature of mass transportation is the key to properly design a high-performance catalyst. In article number 10.1002/cey2.136, Chengyong Shu and co-workers report a novel Fe-N4-C ORR catalyst with single atomic catalytic sites. The novel Fe-N4-C catalyst with monodispersed porous structure also provides a good oxygen transport path and exhibits excellent performance in the proton exchange membrane fuel cell.
