Abstract
The Cover Feature illustrates the potential of X-ray Microscopy (XRM) to non-destructively investigate the inner workings of batteries highlighting the possibility to visualize each component such as the anode (yellow), the cathode (blue) and the nickel net (green) separately. XRM is a valuable tool for the detection of delamination processes and cracks that occur in the battery which are related to the capacity fade after several charge/discharge cycles.
