Abstract

The Cover Feature shows that aluminum–sulfur (Al–S) battery energy storage containers could store electrical energy from photovoltaic and wind turbine systems. The Al–S battery was made of earth-abundant elements such as Al, S, Cl, N, C, and H. In addition, it shows high safety because of the use of an AlCl3-based non-flammable deep eutectic solvent electrolyte. More information can be found in the Full Paper by Y. Bian et al.
